Pilates is an exercise system that focuses on stretching and strengthening the whole body to improve balance, muscle-strength, flexibility and posture. It was created by German-born Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s and incorporates elements of yoga, martial arts and Western forms of exercise.
Here at Hope Pilates we have a range of styles in our mat based classes (As pictures above). Focusing on classical training, clinical and beginners Pilates focuses on teaching the main structure. We use the 8 principles to enable us to perform to the best of our ability, Core ‘n’ more is an interval training style of Pilates. Only open for those who have experience as safety is most important and you must work to your level.
